There will also be space available for anyone wanting to practice obedience or handler focus with distractions. Options for one dog/1 run, two dogs/1 run or two dogs/2 runs.
Agility classes - Workshops
2×2 Weaves
A 5-week workshop based on the Susan Garrett method. This is a fast and easy way for dogs to learn what is expected of them in the weaves. Dogs have success right from the start so they learn to love to weave. Properly taught, dogs will understand difficult entries and exits early so they can handle anything on course. This workshop is aimed at dogs just learning to weave as well as dogs who need retraining. We limit this class to 6 dogs. Advance registration is required. A set of two weave poles is included in the price of this class.
Jumping foundations
Agility courses are primarily made up of jumps. Proper jumping style is important for the longevity of the dog. A dog taught to jump properly will rarely have a problem with knocked bars. In this 5-week workshop we will start from the beginning to create a solid foundation to build from. We limit this class to 6 dogs. Advance registration is required. A practice jump is included in the price of this class.
Proofing
Do you have great contacts in practice but your dog doesn’t perform them well in competition? Does your dog blow past you as you are heading off for a lead out? Can your dog run to the table from any angle, at any speed and not fall off? Will your dog weave through any distraction? In this 5-week workshop, we’ll make proper performance so fun and rewarding that the dogs will want to maintain that performance in the face of any distraction. We limit this class to 6 dogs. Advance registration is required. A contact touch board is included in the price of this class.
Crosses
A 5-week workshop designed to explain front and rear crosses. We will cover how to perform them, when to use which one and getting the dog to read your body cues. We limit this class to 6 dogs. Advance registration is required. One practice jump is included in the price of this class.
